ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL! Come celebrate our anniversary with the Freeflow team and DJ Socrates!
What a ride it's been so far. One year ago in September we kicked off FreeFlow with DJ Socrates not exactly knowing what we were starting. What we thought would 'only' be a a monthly sequence of dances turned out to become a lovely bunch on people, a communal tribe, a movement. Where during the dance we connect, we feel, we explore and melt together, afterwards we love to hang out together with a lovely lunch, a chat and have a laugh with new friends. To share this celebration with you one year later, we have two extras on the day: - A FREE creative DIY screen print (zeefdruk) on your favourite dance clothing piece. If you would like a vibrant coloured 'FreeFlow' on your own t-shirt, tote bag, underwear, crop top, handkerchief or anything else cotton-ish, feel free to bring it along and come when the doors open to make your print! We will be doing the prints before the dance starts (till 11) so if you would like to try it, our lovely team member Tuï will assist you to screen print on your personal item and hang it up to dry from 10:30. - Our friend Sebastiaan Besseling will be there to serve you a holistic massage in the chill space. For more information check out massagesebas.nl. He will offer short massages (for a fee) and check in with you what your body needs in the moment.
DJ SOCRATES In Ecstatic Dance, we go on a musical journey. And we also go on a journey inside. DJ Socrates takes you on a journey to the unknown. Each set is a unique and epic dance, which arises from a seductive dialogue between dancers and grooves. Built on the character of the place, the whims of the weather and the energy of the audience. With his kaleidoscopic sound DJ Socrates includes global reggae, tripy cumbia, afro bass, slow rave and oriental acid. And if you are lucky you can hear a mesmerising tin whistle, which DJ Socrates himself weaves live through his set.
WHAT MAKES THE DANCE 'ECSTATIC'? An invitation to check in with yourself, to dance, move, enjoy yourself this Sunday morning! Flow freely by expressing yourself through movement in a pure (without substances) and transforming way with respect to the people around you. The dance space is a phone-free and non-speaking area where we dance without shoes.

-During the dance there will be water and tea provided (please bring your own bottle!) - Wear comfortable clothes to move freely in - We encourage you to join from the whole experience, please aim to be on time - Space holders are present - Bring earplugs if you feel you are (more) sensitive to sound, it can get loud - Our events are for human beings from the age of 18 - No refunds or rescheduling possible - Please note that if an event is sold out, the only way to get a ticket still is through TicketSwap
